About the role

We are looking for a Principal to lead business development and project delivery in transaction services and strategic market advisory for our Management Consulting team in the Netherlands. You will work with Dutch energy-sector clients, collaborate with colleagues across our global platform and play a key role in further building our Rotterdam office together with an experienced, collaborative local team.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex projects and oversee project teams.

  • Coach teams in structured problem solving and delivery excellence.
  • Your profile:
  • Advanced graduate degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) in Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field, combined with 8-15 years of experience in the Dutch energy sector .
  • Strong advisory track record or working experience in energy companies, developers, public sector and/or grid operators in areas such as strategy, market analysis, financial analysis, policy, power market design and/or M&A and transaction services.
  • Commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to build client relationships, identify opportunities and translate complex market dynamics into actionable advice.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills , with experience leading teams and developing colleagues in a consulting or energy-sector environment.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English , with strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
