Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, Sales & Use Tax) for EMEA and North America, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, external advisors, and tax authorities, to resolve tax-related queries and ensure smooth tax operations, while building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • The Experience You Bring
  • 4-5 years of hands-on experience in indirect tax compliance, with a strong focus on EMEA Indirect Tax and/or US Sales and Use Tax; experience in a multinational, GBS/GCC, or Big 6 environment is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of indirect tax concepts, accounting principles, and compliance requirements; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Cloud).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex tax issues and identify effective solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tax-related processes and documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving tax landscapes and organizational needs. Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting or semi qualified CAs . Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CA) are highly desirable.

Job Description Your Team The Corporate Tax Team at Invesco is divided into Direct Tax and Indirect Tax compliance. The Indirect Tax team handles various activities including preparing and filing of EMEA and North America Indirect tax returns, tax accounting and reconciliations, conducting value-added analysis, and optimizing processes. This team works closely with the business, global tax teams, and external service providers to ensure efficient and accurate tax activities . Your Role As a Senior Analyst in the GBS Indirect Tax team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering end‑to‑end indirect tax compliance activities, primarily for the EMEA region . You will be responsible for executing, reviewing, and overseeing business‑as‑usual (BAU) indirect tax processes, ensuring consistent compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and internal control frameworks. Your primary focus will be to ensure that BAU tax processes operate smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and internal requirements. You will take accountability for the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of indirect tax filings, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, applying sound judgment and technical expertise to resolve complex issues. Your contributions will directly support operational excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement within the indirect tax function. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will take ownership of critical deliverables, proactively identify process enhancement opportunities, and support the implementation of improved controls and efficiencies. You will ensure that both BAU and ad hoc indirect tax activities are executed to a high standard and aligned with onshore expectations.
