Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Stdnt Affairs Mgr Job Summary: The Engineering Student Center within the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering (CoE) seeks a dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as the Student Organization & Engagement Manager. This position plays a central role in advancing student engagement, leadership development, and co-curricular learning across the College. The Student Organization & Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting nearly 70 engineering student organizations by providing guidance on organizational operations, ensuring compliance with university policies, and fostering inclusive, high-impact student experiences. The role includes overseeing the planning and execution of large-scale programs and events that enhance community, belonging, and professional development within the engineering student population. The Student Organization & Engagement Manager provides strategic leadership for key student engagement initiatives, including the Badger Engineer Engage program for first-year students, ensuring these efforts align with institutional priorities and advance student success. This role also manages the student organization grant process in collaboration with campus partners, ensuring equitable and transparent allocation of resources. Through cross-campus partnerships, intentional program development, and a commitment to student-centered leadership, the position contributes to enriching the undergraduate experience within the College of Engineering. Key Job Responsibilities: Monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the Institution's mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned area(s) of responsibility May monitor the program budget and approve expenditures Schedules logistics and secures resources to support the operational plans of the program or unit Serves as the program or unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups Advises and enforces Institution policies related to services in Student Affairs Department: College of Engineering, Student Engagement
