Responsibilities

  • De-grease, remove dirt, old paint or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application
  • Mix paint pigments to match colour specifications or vehicle's original colours

  • Deliver on promises made to customers ensuring they will be without their vehicles for the shortest possible time
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of materials
  • Promote Aviva AutoCare Centre values and goals

Requirements

  • 5 years or more experience within the automotive repair industry as a paint technician
  • Red Seal - Automotive Painter (410N), or actively registered apprenticeship are an asset
  • Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing and repair practices and procedures
  • Demonstrates adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to an environment of continuous improvement
  • Efficient communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Detail oriented approach with an emphasis on Quality control
  • Ability to take direction and perform well under pressure
  • Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures
  • What You'll get:
  • The salary band for this position ranges from $85,000 to $120,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
