About the role
Reporting to the Light Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, the Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle Mechanic) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the light vehicle fleet and mine equipment used at site. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights. The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary. This position involves maintaining and repairing light vehicles and mine equipment, including troubleshooting and rebuilding key components such as engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems. Requirements
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification
- Commercial transport experience or ticket is an asset
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity in working with Ford and Dodge vehicles is an asset
