Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve programme governance, reporting, and delivery controls, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality, and providing clear insight to support decision-making, with responsibility for creating and maintaining plans, risks & issues, actions etc
- Use Microsoft 365 and AI tools (e.g. Copilot) to enhance reporting, automate PMO activities, and improve insight, transparency, and efficiency
- Monitor programme performance, track milestones, and proactively escalate risks and issues to maintain delivery momentum
- Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops, ensuring actions, decisions, and follow-ups are clearly captured and driven through to completion
- Support change and adoption activities (including readiness, communications, training, and dependencies), and occasionally lead delivery of small, low-complexity workstreams, ensuring plans are maintained and delivery remains on track
Requirements
- Essential criteria:
- Must have been an effective PMO on several (ie 3 or more) complex cross functional business programmes (not solely technical programmes)
- Set up and managed governance and delivery controls leading to successful programme delivery, proactively preparing for governance meetings which include exec stakeholders
- Managed regular reporting, gathering input and offering constructive challenge to drive quality and accuracy from business and technical stakeholders up to Director level
- Independently created and maintained core programme artefacts (plans, risks, issues, actions, budgets and dependencies) to a quality that can be shared at director level, to ensure robust delivery management
- Demonstrated ability to progress resolution of risks and issues independently and be able to identify when they should be escalated to the programme director
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confident stakeholder engagement at all levels including MDs. Must be able to use MS365 and AI tools to produce clear written communications (in particular MS Powerpoint).
- Comfortable operating at pace across multiple priorities to tight deadlines, often on highly visible projects and with exposure to executives
- Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience improving governance, reporting, or programme delivery frameworks
- Experience adopting or embedding AI-enabled ways of working within programme or PMO environments
- Exposure to change, adoption, or training and readiness activities
- Recognised project management qualification or equivalent experience

- We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 3 days in the office per week.

As a Business Transformation PMO Manager , you will act as a strategic partner to Programme and Project Managers, driving effective programme and portfolio delivery across Sky's transformation initiatives. Sitting within the Business Transformation function, you will work across cross-functional teams to bring structure, control, and pace to complex business change activity. You will play a key role in strengthening governance, elevating reporting quality, and embedding efficient, AI-enabled ways of working to support delivery at scale.
