Responsibilities
- Perform responsibilities as identified by Security Management and Security Officer Lead in the conduct of guard posts, i.e. control access to the site via Visitor Management System, respond to inquires and issues at guard posts, understand and execute all post orders assigned to guard position.
- Support special events, emergent activities and ad hoc assignments as identified and assigned by Security Management.
- Understand and comply with Blue Origin badging policies in order to properly categorize and appropriately issue visitor badges as required

- Must be willing and able to work flexible schedule, to include nights, overtime, weekends and rotating
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess or be eligible for a valid state security officer license
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Desired:
- Associate's degree
- 2+ years experience in military, law enforcement, or corporate security
- Aptitude for critical incident handling
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Computer based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Extensive team-oriented experience
- Impeccable character/integrity
- Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
