Responsibilities
- Drive architecture and requirements development for a cross-functional micromobility vehicle platform program (Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Product Design) from a systems engineering perspective, ensuring alignment from concept through validation.

- Develop and maintain system architectures for distributed embedded controllers, including:
- Interface definitions and communication protocols
- Functional decomposition and allocation
- Fault detection, fault handling, and system-level robustness
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, electrical engineers, product designers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to drive CONOPS, activity diagrams, feature design, development, and validation.
- Develop state machines such as for power states for the platform
- Support end-to-end feature validation, contributing to the definition and execution of test cases and test plans across:
- Bench and HIL testing
- Vehicle-level bring-up
- System integration and performance validation
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in systems engineering or embedded software development
- Understanding of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Experience working with embedded systems
- Extensive knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, SPI)
- Requirements management tools such as JAMA, or Polarion and using model based systems engineering
- The salary for this position ranges from $200,000-$250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
