About the Position: Lyster Army Health Clinic in Fort Rucker, AL. Work is performed in offices, mechanical rooms, construction sites, and clinical areas. Business hours are 0730-1615. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Engineering Technician: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring utility systems for preventive maintenance, performing quality assurance inspections of engineering work projects, and experience with contract administration. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). OR Education: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education that is directly related to the work of the Engineering Technician position, such as engineering, construction, or industrial technology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position. Must have the specialized experience, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described, but less than the required three years.
