MEP ENGINEER (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)

Responsibilities

• Develop technical specifications, load calculations, and design layouts for HVAC (Mechanical), power distribution and lighting (Electrical), and water/waste networks (Plumbing) to ensure system functionality and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to prevent system clashes and ensure cohesive project execution.
• Ensure all designs and plans comply with local building codes, fire regulations, and energy standards to maintain safety and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor on-site construction activities to verify subcontractors install MEP systems accurately according to blueprints and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of MEP systems to confirm optimal operation and efficiency before project handover.
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and CAD software such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to produce and review technical drawings and models.
• Perform complex calculations including heat load, electrical single-line diagrams, and piping layouts to support accurate system design.
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues during design and installation phases.
• Manage project timelines and communicate effectively across teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
