Our OMLP program is designed to fast-track the development of entry-level talent, coaching them into capable leaders who can tackle the challenges in our Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions at Avio Aero. We offer a permanent contract for this role. Job Description Essential Responsibilities OMLP is a 2-year development program consisting of: Three 8-months rotational assignments that allow members to have hands-on leadership experience and build supply chain technical & management skills across Avio Aero's plants in Italy Global trainings to become proficient in lean operations & supply chain management Leadership & Personal Development coursework to develop leadership skills and build connections with GE Aerospace Development Program members throughout the world There are 3 mandatory rotational assignment that every OMLP will undertake. Typically, they include: Technical (e.g., quality engineer, manufacturing engineer) Sourcing/Materials Management (e.g., buyer, contracts administrator, logistics specialist) Shop Operations Supervisor (i.e., people leader of shopfloor operators) During these rotations, an OMLP typically will: Collaborate with their Assignment Leader in setting and achieving realistic and challenging goals Plan and perform assigned tasks aligned to the business's priorities and core tenets of safety, quality, inventory, and productivity (SQDC) Demonstrate ability to understand and apply operational and technical fundamentals in the business environment using analytical and problem-solving skills Develop cooperation and teamwork while leading diverse groups in the development and implementation of team goals Generate innovative ideas and apply change best practices to ensure impact of key initiatives Participate in a Kaizen events and learn & apply lean with a focus on continuous improvement OMLP Program graduates are expected to be advanced in supply chain operations and project management with experiential growth in lean principles. These skillsets will position graduates to compete on a series of challenging roles driving business results and progressing as leaders in Avio Aero. N.B. Domestic relocation is required while on program. Qualifications/Requirements Master's Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Materials Engineering from an accredited University or college Previous junior experience (e.g., co-op, intern), preferably in manufacturing/Global Supply Chain English and Italian fluency, written and verbal Geographic flexibility and global mindset with a willingness and ability to work in any of Avio Aero's 5 manufacturing locations Knowledge of technical drawings Deep passion for aviation/aerospace plus strong commitment for a career in Global Supply Chain Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization showing openness, transparency & humility Strong curiosity to learn Able to own a/o coordinate many tasks concurrently with high execution & follow-through Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to breakdown the issues and formulate plans to address and rectify situations in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve problems and make meaningful change benefiting our customers, people, and organisation in a team/manufacturing environment Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Previous study or working experience abroad will be considered as a plus Previous work experience in aviation/aerospace will be considered as a plus
