Mechanical Technician

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Manufacturing facility experience preferred
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Ability to operate forklift with training
• Ability to operate high lift with training
• Purchase required tools in six months
• Consistently reliable attendance
• Willingness to work M-F 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Highly Preferred:
• Physical ability to operate and repair machines.
• Prolonged periods (up to 4 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and stretching in between breaks.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
• Demonstrated leadership skills & ability to multi-task.
• Machining skills acquired through work experience and training from Wissota Tool team.
• Improvement mindset
• Problem solving/critical thinking abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills

Job Description: Salary: Base wage starts at $23.00 to $25.00 Hours: Wissota currently operates under three different shifts; however, this position is for the 1st Shift. Perform preventative maintenance Pack parts for shipment Assembly of small components Maintain overhead lighting in shop Maintain compressed air system and add new air lines as needed
