- Required/Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 2+ years relevant industry experience
- or Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 4+years relevant industry experience
- In lieu of degree(s) AND relevant industry experience listed above, High School/GED AND 6+ years relevant industry experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology
- In addition to desired degree, 5 plus years related work experience
- Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of electrical power engineering
- Familiarity with evaluating existing infrastructure and upgrading as needed to support customer development
- Experience with three phase design, layout, and material selection for medium voltage power distribution systems
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience designing duct bank systems
- Ability to ensure compliance with internal design standards and specifications
- Requires high customer interaction and excellent communication
- Ability to complete cost estimates and revenue calculations
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management.
