Toradex's Brazil office hosts parts of the Global Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams, composed of several engineers working on diverse tasks with global reach. Mission As an Embedded System Developer in the Developer Experience team, you will work to accelerate the time-to-market of our customers through the provision of technical support, the production of technical documentation, and the creation of demonstrations and proofs-of-concept. You will drive our efforts to have the best self-serving support experience in the industry. You will closely collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and Marketing. Roles & Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include the items below: Create the leading Self Service Support Experience in the Industry through one-to-many support resources (documentation, community forum), artificial intelligence and support automation Make complex technical concepts easy to understand for Toradex target customers Being a key stakeholder in the overall user experience of Toradex products Help create excitement for Toradex offerings via evangelism among developers Interact with customers using our support channels (email, community, documentation) Help scale our support by updating documentation based on direct interactions with customers.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Availability to work Hybrid from the Toradex Office a few days a week
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability and passion to learn new technologies, and develop skills in embedded software and hardware.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Good Novel Problem-Solving Skills
- Linux:
- Experience and knowledge as a user or system administrator
- Experience with Embedded Linux or with a Linux Development
- Developed Applications for Embedded Linux Devices
- Knowledge of common interfaces and how to use them on the software side, such as:
- GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI-CSI, LVDS and more.
- Experience with Git: Managed (possibly jointly) a Git Repository with multiple contributors
- Able to read and comprehend hardware schematics
- Knowledge of programming patterns and anti-patterns
- Programming languages
- C/C++
- Python
- Knowledge of at least one Shell Scripting Language, such as Bash or Perl
- Strong proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred:
- Experience providing technical support to customers
- Previous exposure to the developer community
- Previous experience or courses working with Yocto
- Familiarity with Docker containers
- Experience with CI/CD
- Knowledge of Agile development concepts
- Knowledge of AI/ML, preferably on embedded devices
- Designed a working PCB from scratch either professionally or as a hobby
- Passion and skill to communicate about products and technical concepts in webinars, blogs, and talks
