About the role
About us We are looking for an experienced contracts professional to be an integral member of the Contracts Team, which provides a professional, effective and efficient service for King's researchers by drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on contracts from private and public sector organisations for King's research activity. This is a new role within the recently developed KCL Clinical Research Hub, co-led by the Department of Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity (RGEI), King's Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU) and Pre-Award and Contracts. The post holder will work closely with the King's Clinical Trial Unit and the Research Governance Office, as part of hub working, to provide a joined-up matrix model of provision for clinical trials support across King's. About the role The Senior Contracts Associate will negotiate non-commercially Sponsored clinical trial related contracts and other similar agreements, with an emphasis on the efficient contractual management of clinical trial projects overseen by the KCTU/RGO and other clinical studies across King's, as needed. Candidates should have experience of negotiating legal agreements, preferably in a university or clinical environment and be confident and persuasive negotiators with a track record of successful negotiation with different stakeholders. Experience of costing and pricing project budgets is desirable. Applicants also require excellent organisational and communication and literacy skills, proven decision-making ability and be able to work well under pressure, both individually and as part of a team. £53,947 to £63,350 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance
