Responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret instructions and directives as assigned by supervisor.

  • Report on progress to Inspection and Division Managers of employees under guidance during training periods. Maintain trainee records.
  • Assist employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to Inspection functions.
  • Make suggestions on improving work processes and procedures for Inspections corporate wide.
  • Requires mobility to travel to other divisions client locations and job sites throughout company. Must be capable of using ladders, lifts and scaffolding where necessary to view conditions, as well as access to confined spaces, attics, basements, and cooler installations.
  • Requires visual acuity to read documents, meters and drawings as needed.
  • Communicate with customers or potential customers as requested to provide site evaluations, handle discrepancies, complaints, and advice on recommended remedial action or procedures as required.
  • Assists with communication with AHJs as requested for Inspection departments and represent VSC and the customer's interests and work to resolve issues of non-compliance or discrepancy.
  • Work closely with technical trade employees or departments to ensure that clients understand circumstances involving disagreement such as scope, method of handling on site conditions, or other client dissatisfaction, and that all are handled tactfully and with patience and integrity.
