Senior VP, Group Compliance - Overseas Compliance Management Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide team members to deliver high‑quality compliance oversight and support.
• Drive consistent implementation of Group Compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures across OBEs.
• Assess key compliance risks, issues, and regulatory developments, and ensure timely escalation with clear impact and recommendations.
• Review team outputs, including assessments, documentation, and reports, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
• Oversee tracking of issues and remediation actions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Work closely with Head Office and OBE stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective resolution of compliance matters.
• Lead or support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance compliance governance and processes.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or related areas within financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance risk management.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within timelines.
• Professional compliance certification (e.g. ICA) is an advantage.
• Preferred Skills (Future-Ready):
• Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
• Awareness of AI / GenAI applications to enhance compliance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

Lead a team to provide effective governance oversight and support for the regulatory compliance functions of Overseas Banking Entities (OBEs), ensuring alignment with Group Compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
