Responsibilities

  • Develop test fits and feasibility studies for new buildings and additions. Including creative solutions such as vertical additions requiring significant architectural and structural analysis.
  • Analyze land use regulations, NYC Construction Codes, NYC Zoning Resolution, and other applicable requirements for proposed sites.
  • Conduct site observations and prepare field reports.
  • Present studies to an interdisciplinary committee of internal stakeholders.

  • Perform scope and design review of new and renovation projects at all phase submissions
  • Work with a wide range of technical, professional, managerial and support personnel, as well as outside consultants, contractors, vendors and various government agencies.
  • Assist in preparing new design standards and procedures.
  • Handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Serve as a member of project teams.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in drafting plans and sections in AutoCAD, interpreting NYC Zoning Resolution and NYC Construction Codes.
  • Strong understanding of public sector design standards, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Registered Architect (RA) in the State of New York is preferred.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • Salary
  • $110,000 - $135,000 USD
