Requirements
- Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or at least 9 years of professional experience.
- 5-8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, including at least 2 years managing or leading engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala), with hands‑on experience building data pipelines using tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Spark.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and a deep understanding of data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Experience with governance frameworks, environment strategy, data security, compliance, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing, as well as working in an agile environment using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and senior leaders, incorporate feedback, and align on solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical internal and external partners, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and shared understanding.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliveries in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, a team‑oriented mindset, and a commitment to high‑quality outcomes.

The Senior Data Platform Manager will work closely with the AIR Modernization team and stakeholders across multiple business domains to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems.
