About the Role (Job Summary) We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Inventory Technician to join our pharmacy operations team at the B3 level. In this critical role, you will help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our medication inventory processes. Your work will directly support patient care by maintaining optimal stock levels and minimizing shortages, contributing to a safe and organized pharmacy environment. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Monitor and manage medication inventory to ensure adequate stock and prevent shortages. Receive, verify, and store pharmaceutical products according to regulatory standards and internal protocols. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies using pharmacy management systems. Assist in preparing orders, returns, and restocking shelves to maintain efficient workflow. Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and suppliers to resolve inventory issues. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adhere to safety and compliance guidelines. Support medication recall processes and ensure proper disposal of expired products. Basic Requirements Typically requires 3+ years of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent experience Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare inventory, or supply chain management (minimum 1 year). Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment. Capability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills/Experience Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or completion of pharmacy technician training program. Experience with automated dispensing systems or pharmacy management software. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices in inventory control. Background in healthcare logistics or supply chain analytics. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills. Description of Travel or In-Office and Physical Requirements This position is primarily in-office within a pharmacy environment. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, and moving inventory throughout the shift. Occasional travel may be required for training or inventory support at nearby locations. In periods of high demand, there may be instances where associates are required to work beyond their scheduled hours to ensure timely delivery of medications and healthcare products. Schedules are typically shared in advance with enough lead time to support planning, as operational needs allow, but no later than the Wednesday prior to the following week, in accordance with the CBA.
