You Are: SAP Solutions Architect The Work: The SAP Solution Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end SAP solutions tailored to meet the operational, logistical, and financial requirements of Defense programs. This role requires deep expertise in SAP architecture, a strong understanding of Defense business processes, and the ability to integrate SAP systems with other defense-related IT environments. The SAP Solution Architect acts as a bridge between functional requirements and technical execution, ensuring compliance with Defense regulations and specific needs. The Work: Solution Architecture & Design: Design scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions aligned with DoD agency enterprise architecture standards. Lead the development of SAP architecture roadmaps in support of DoD business objectives. Identify gaps in current architecture and recommend improvements or innovations. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and system integrators to gather requirements and define SAP system specifications. Translate complex business needs into SAP technical solutions, ensuring alignment with defense acquisition and operational standards. Implementation & Integration: Guide the configuration and customization of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, HR, WM, FM). Ensure proper integration with legacy DoD systems and third-party applications. Support data migration, interface design, and technical validation activities. Governance & Compliance: Ensure all SAP solutions comply with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance standards (e.g., RMF, STIGs). Maintain documentation of architectural designs, system configurations, and technical specifications. Leadership & Support: Serve as the technical authority on SAP-related matters during project planning, development, and delivery. Mentor and guide junior SAP consultants and developers. Support system testing, validation, and user training activities as needed. Here's What you Need: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). 8+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3 years in a Solution Architect role. Experience supporting Defense SAP implementations. Deep understanding of SAP architecture and modules relevant to defense operations. Strong knowledge of Defense business processes, procurement systems, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with Defense cybersecurity frameworks and system accreditation processes. Bonus Points If: SAP certification(s) in relevant modules or architecture. Prior military experience or direct experience working with federal programs. Experience with SAP Enhancement pack upgrades / migrations in a defense context. Understanding of Agile or SAFe methodologies in government IT projects. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
