Senior / Yoga Teacher

Responsibilities

• Expert Instruction: Lead a variety of classes across multiple levels, strictly adhering to scheduled descriptions while infusing your unique teaching style.
• Safety & Alignment: Provide precise, verbal, and physical alignment cues. You must be adept at identifying risk factors and offering modifications to ensure a safe environment for practitioners of all abilities.
• Thoughtful Sequencing: Develop intelligent, safe, and creative sequences that promote progressive growth and prevent repetitive strain.
• Philosophical Integration: Move beyond the physical by weaving authentic yogic principles and philosophy into your classes to provide a holistic experience.
• Community Presence: Maintain a professional and welcoming presence during retail hours, fostering long-term relationships with members.

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of active teaching experience is mandatory.
• Certification: Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500 preferred) or equivalent advanced certification.
• Knowledge: Profound understanding of functional anatomy, contraindications, and the Eight Limbs of Yoga.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to command a room with calm authority.
• Flexibility: Ability to work a retail-based schedule, including weekends, to meet the needs of our community.
