Requirements

• Work hours will be limited to a maximum of 19 hours per week.
• HS diploma/GED. Must be currently enrolled in a college/university or possess ability to enroll in a college/university while in the program
• must be 18-32 years of age
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Resume Required
• Letter(s) of recommendation are highly encouraged
• Benefits and Pay:
• Salary is $18.00 hourly
• Partial Tuition Reimbursement for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (up to $1,500 per year, after 6 months' probation period)

• Final candidates selected for hire in the Police Department will be subject to a drug test, fingerprint/criminal history background and driving record check.
• Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position:
• Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B
• Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication,
• Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
