Professional Surveyor

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or another approved degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Ohio
• Significant experience leading surveying projects with increasing responsibility
• Experience developing ODOT right of way plans
• Demonstrated client and business development capabilities
• Strong technical background in boundary, topographic, route, and construction surveys
• Interest in growing a practice, building client relationships, and developing business opportunities
• Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Proficiency with surveying technologies, data processing, and CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or similar)
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Lochmueller Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) to lead and support survey operations on small to mid-sized projects of limited to moderate complexity throughout the state of Indiana. This role combines technical expertise, client interaction, and mentorship, with opportunities to contribute to both field and office-based survey activities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who applies sound judgment, adheres to state regulations, and consistently delivers high-quality surveying services. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our Roadway/Highway Design team is involved in a wide variety of street, roadway, highway and multi-modal transportation design projects for local public agencies and state DOT's.
