Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced and leadership‑focused Practice Manager to join its client's Court and Child Protection (Safeguarding) team in North Tyneside. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of practice, delivering expert assessments, and supporting the professional development of the wider team. What will your responsibilities be? Expert Assessment: Lead on complex pieces of work, including parenting assessments, sibling assessments, and comprehensive risk assessments. Leadership Support: Deputise for the Team Manager as required, providing stable leadership and oversight for the service. Meeting Leadership: Chair critical multi-agency meetings, including Strategy Meetings, Child in Need (CIN) Reviews, and Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings. Staff Supervision: Provide professional supervision to non-Social Work qualified staff, ensuring their work meets statutory and local standards. Quality Assurance: Complete regular case file audits and monitor team data to ensure full compliance and high-quality recording. Practice Development: Model best-practice social work, supporting the development of the team's skills and knowledge through mentoring and group supervision. Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role you must have; Social Work England registration and a recognized Social Work qualification. Advanced Safeguarding Skills: Significant experience in Child Protection and Court work, with a proven ability to manage high-risk cases. Leadership Potential: Experience in (or the clear ability to) supervise staff and lead professional forums. Analytical Oversight: Strong skills in auditing and data monitoring to maintain service excellence. Mentoring Ability: A passion for developing others and a commitment to modeling "good" and "outstanding" social work practice. Working Environment & Expectation: Team Structure: You will be a key link between frontline Social Workers and the Team Manager, ensuring effective management and support across the pod. Location: Based within North Tyneside, covering a range of safeguarding and legal duties. Contract: Full-time agency placement within a fast-paced, statutory environment.
