Job Description: Maintenance Technician (1st & 2nd Shifts available!) At Pentair, you will work alongside passionate problem-solvers who are committed to the future of our planet. We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician II to join our Delavan, WI team. You will use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production. In addition, you will work with limited supervision and assist with the training of Junior Technicians. You will: Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance on various production machines, including CNC Machines, Injection Molding Machines, and Custom Pump and Electrical Test Stands. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and address maintenance needs proactively. Perform intermediate-level repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Independently troubleshoot and perform repairs and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Address issues related to basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Maintain and document spare parts inventory to minimize downtime effectively. Identify and source necessary components and supplies. Participate in LEAN activities, including but not limited to Kaizens, RCCM, 5-whys, and A3s, to improve downtime trends and reduce cost. Assist with the training and development of Junior Techs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for events or special projects. Performs other job duties as assigned by management. Key Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of additional technical training or job-related experience. Injection Molding experience preferred. A solid understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation necessary for the maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment. Full competency in performing preventive maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting failures, and implementing effective repairs. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math and computer proficiency. Excellent problem-solving skills, enabling effective diagnosis and resolution of issues. A robust mechanical aptitude, encompassing knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical documentation. Must be able to operate various tools, including hand and power tools, and may need to operate vehicles. Full ability to read and communicate in English. Ability to work overtime as needed for maintenance functions. Shift/Hours: 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - Friday Physical Demands and Work Environment: Work is performed in a plant facility with exposure to heat, dust, mid-level noise, fumes, and odors. The position requires continuous standing and walking for extended periods. Candidates must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, which include pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Team assistance will be provided for heavier loads. Additional physical requirements may include ladder climbing, sitting, bending, reaching, and working in confined spaces.
