- Develop safety programs that include ergonomic assessments, machine guarding protocols, and chemical management.
- Monitoring and Reporting Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety incidents, energy usage, waste management, water management etc.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Use digital tools to monitor environmental impact metrics like emissions or waste.
- Collaboration Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, operations, procurement, and HR to integrate EHS into daily activities.
- Liaise with external consultants or regulatory bodies for guidance on compliance or project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical/Environmental/Fire and Safety preferred).
- Diploma in Safety & certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Experience with ISO certifications like ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) or ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
- Familiarity with digital tools for EHS monitoring (e.g., emissions tracking software).
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated risks.
- Expertise in EHS & ESG regulations and EPR frameworks.
- Proficiency in sustainability practices , GHG accounting, Product carbon footprint, life cycle assessment (LCA) & knowledge on ISO14064.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for hazard identification and mitigation.
- Strong communication skills for training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- 8-10 years experience of leading EHS and Sustainability topics in manufacturing/automobile sector.
