About the role
Responsible for leading all aspects of parts logistics, inventory control, and supply chain optimization to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES: You will drive execution of the EVBS Parts and Inventory Management strategy. Ensure adherence to the established parts vision, physical and digital inventory management strategy. Drive buy-in and consensus with key stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Client facing teams, etc.) Focus on continuous improvements and error proofing (kaizen, kanban). You will own all items for Production Schedule Management. Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to drive sourcing, inventory, and procurement activities. Create forecasts in the absence of supplier data to ensure continuity in planning. Collaborate with production teams to adjust schedules based on real-time constraints and material shortages. Communication and Collaboration are part of your DNA. Own and cultivate relationships with Supplier base Collaborate with EVBS clients and internal stakeholders to escalate and resolve sourcing and supplier issues. Provide clear, timely communication regarding supply chain risks and mitigation strategies. You make sure we have the parts to enable our production to run smoothly and efficiently. Ensure adequate part inventory to support production schedules by: Determining part usage and required quantities. Aligning procurement schedules with build plans. Resolving part shortages and working with suppliers to mitigate risks. Communicating inventory status to internal client meetings. Expediting shipments to avoid production disruptions. Strategically planning purchases to minimize scrap, especially near program end-of-life. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Perform receiving inspections to ensure parts meet quality and specification standards. Maintain accurate records of Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) and supplier lead times. Ensure availability of consumables and materials (e.g., thermal paste, plastic bags, pads). Core and Crates are critical to our business, so these items are always on the top of your mind. Maintain sufficient core inventory to support forecasted production. Account for core fall-out and return loop timing. Communicate shortages or overages and coordinate with internal stakeholders/clients. Manage crate supply. Monitor crate return loops, damage rates, and usage in battery returns. Plan crate procurement considering lead times and storage constraints. You are not afraid of numbers and data - Forecasting, Financial & Risk Analysis are part of your tool belt. Develop forecasts in the absence of client-provided data and manage sourcing accordingly. Conduct financial analysis to support cost-effective sourcing decisions. Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field. 1+ year of experience in a management or leadership role. Requires strong knowledge of supply chain operations, including dynamic demand planning, inventory management, logistics, production planning, and supplier management. Requires strong knowledge of ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
