About the role

About this role Join our highly professional, committed and student focused team, based at the Chichester campus. As a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law, Business and Psychology the post holder will contribute to teaching, quality assurance compliance, partnership working, research and income generation in the Law Department, with a focus on the delivery and development of legal practice-based learning. About you This role is ideal for someone who wishes to use their professional experience to inspire and support students entering the legal profession. The appointed postholder will have a sound understanding of Law and the ability to teach across a range of modules. The role will include developing content to shape the delivery of the Law programmes, and we are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of the SQE route as well as evidence of strong professional legal skills. Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students. About the team You will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University's student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team and as part of the wider school and faculty. You will demonstrate excellent teaching methods, with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
