About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide first-line legal, contracting, and operational support across Singapore and Malaysia, with additional regional exposure. This role plays a critical part in supporting day-to-day legal and compliance operations, managing high-volume contracting workflows, and ensuring timely escalation of higher-risk issues. The successful candidate will work closely with Legal Counsel, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enable efficient and compliant business operations.
Responsibilities
- Legal & Contracting Support
- Provide first-line review, drafting, and mark-up support for a wide range of agreements, including non-disclosure agreement, service agreements, and other ad hoc contracts.
- Support government tenders by reviewing and identifying key contractual risks within tight timelines.
- Manage and support the use of contract templates, including equipment placement and Healthcare Professional agreements across Singapore and Malaysia.
- Triage contracting queries and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Legal Operations & Document Compliance Support
- Support legal operations, including document management, SharePoint maintenance, and system coordination.
- Assist with contract lifecycle support, including record tracking, certification processes, and audit readiness.
- Provide coordination for quarterly reporting and closing activities with Finance and internal stakeholders.
- Compliance & Training Support
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of compliance training and onboarding materials.
- Support compliance-related activities, including audits, documentation, and issue tracking.
- Cross-Functional & Ad Hoc Support
- Act as a key point of contact for business stakeholders on legal and compliance queries.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Commercial, Compliance, Privacy, Finance) to resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Support records and information management processes and related communications.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Legal Counsel from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline
- Candidates with a legal background (e.g., paralegal, legal studies, or prior legal support experience) are preferred
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in legal operations, contracting, compliance, or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Good understanding of contract structures and ability to identify and escalate risks
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while coordinating across multiple functions
