About the role
Position Overview The Breeding & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible foroverseeing the overall operations and team management of the Breeding &Maintenance Department. Job Responsibilities 1. Department Operations & Team Management Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Breeding & Maintenance Department and lead the team to achieve operational goals efficiently; Optimize departmental structure, manpower planning, job allocation, and workflow processes to improve overall team productivity; Plan and allocate internal and outsourced manpower resources effectively to balance operational needs and labor costs; Develop and implement training programs to continuously enhance employees' technical competencies and job performance; Coordinate cross-department communication and handle daily operational issues and emergencies promptly; Conduct regular operational reviews, data analysis, and process improvements to drive continuous enhancement. 2. Breeding Operations Management Manage the full plant breeding process, including: Seed selection Sowing Seedling cultivation Transplanting Survival rate management New plant trial breeding and testing Organize breeding activities based on germination rates of leafy vegetables and herbs, seed inventory levels, and customer site conditions; Establish and improve SOPs and measurable KPIs for breeding operations; Continuously optimize breeding techniques and workflows to improve productivity and plant quality. 3. Plant Maintenance Management Oversee plant maintenance operations and quality management; Define responsibilities between internal and outsourced maintenance teams and monitor outsourced work quality and service standards; Lead internal professional maintenance work and update maintenance SOPs and technical standards when necessary; Ensure plant health and maintenance quality consistently meet company standards. 4. Customer Service & Field Operations Coordination Coordinate on-site customer maintenance services, seedling deliveries, and related field operations; Optimize fieldwork arrangements, including: Single-person or team assignments Coordination between drivers and maintenance staff Route and schedule planning Ensure high service quality, operational safety, and timely delivery to enhance customer satisfaction. 5. ISES™ System Operations & Technical Support Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the ISES™ planting system; Understand and manage related equipment, including basic maintenance and upkeep of system components and pumps; Maintain close communication with the China technical team to coordinate and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring stable system performance and smooth cross-border collaboration. 6. Other Duties Perform any other duties assigned by the company or management. Job Requirements Education & Experience Diploma or above in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related fields preferred; Minimum 3 years of experience in plant breeding, maintenance, or related operations management; Previous supervisory or team management experience is preferred. Technical Skills Familiar with the full process of plant breeding and maintenance; Possess basic equipment management knowledge and understanding of system operations and maintenance; Able to independently analyze and resolve system equipment and plant maintenance-related technical issues. Management & Coordination Skills Strong leadership, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities; Skilled in establishing SOPs, performance standards, and manpower optimization; Capable of improving overall team productivity and departmental operational efficiency. Operational & Fieldwork Capabilities Familiar with managing both internal and outsourced teams and coordinating field operations; Strong site management, execution, and emergency response capabilities. Language & Other Requirements Good command of both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to support coordination between Singapore and China teams; Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure; Candidates with relevant Singapore working experience will have an added advantage; Possess a valid Singapore driving license and confident driving skills.
