Job Description The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions for a four-year study of the impacts of climate change on tropical tree demography and forest dynamics, with a focus on the primary and secondary forests in Singapore. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of contract renewal (1 - 3 years ). Successful candidates will be expected to: - Develop, implement and lead impactful research including but not limited to the following topics: o Linking plant functional traits to seedling and adult tree demographic responses to simulated drought o Using ecosystem demographic models to explore the impact of future climate change on forest structure, composition and biomass dynamics o Modelling forest microclimate in relation to forest structure and future climate - Prepare high-quality research manuscripts suitable for publication in high-tier academic journals and reports - Mentor graduate students, undergraduate students and research staff - Plan and lead field and lab work
