The Opportunity We are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team, with a genuine interest in building a career in the hedge fund industry. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to trading, analytics, and operations from an early stage. Given the size of our team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one and gain broad insight into how a commodities hedge fund operates. Responsibilities Trading Analytics Maintain and enhance trading analytics, tools, and models Improve data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics workflows Support the development and deployment of quantitative strategies Assist with market data analysis and reporting Operations Run and monitor key operational processes, including: Daily reconciliations and investigation of trade breaks End-of-month (EOM) investor reporting Liaising with brokers, counterparties, administrators, and service providers Respond to operational queries and resolve issues efficiently Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement automation Skills & Experience Core Requirements Strong Python development skills Experience building or working with data pipelines and workflows Basic SQL knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent attention to detail A proactive, hardworking approach Up to two years' experience using Python Desirable Interest in or exposure to commodity, power, or gas markets Experience in trading, analytics, or modelling environments Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. AWS) Candidate Profile Bright, curious, and motivated to learn Interested in financial markets and the hedge fund industry Technically minded with a passion for automation and efficiency Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment Takes ownership and looks for ways to improve processes Enjoys working closely with a small team and contributing across multiple areas of the business Apply We are selective and value potential as much as experience.
