As a Marketing Coordinator, you will enthusiastically represent United Parks & Resorts by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. You will also support and coordinate events at SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place including VIP parties, Sales events, Influencer events, Media events, Pass Member events, launches and more. What you get to do: Events Support and coordinate events at SeaWorld and Sesame Place including VIP parties, Influencer events, Media events, Pass Member events, launches and more Act as the inter-departmental event liaison between Marketing, Catering, Operations, Security and more Coordinate event plans, BEOs and event recaps Act as the onsite lead at events, which may include morning, evening, weekends and holidays. Liaison with Creative teams for event signage, collateral and other needs Keep track of Events signage, photography assets, and more Support additional onsite events as necessary Contribute to creative special event ideas and keep abreast of the latest event trends Process SAP ticket requests and assist in agreements with signature execution Community Relations Support and coordinate a community relations strategy with a focus on public and private school outreach, environmental, animal care and sustainability focused organizations, public interest groups for SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place San Diego Coordinate and lead logistics related to offsite community relations in San Diego, Chula Vista, Orange County, Los Angeles and more Review and manage incoming community relation requests Lead all administrative tasks around community relations Track and update database of community relations contacts, including developing new contact lists What it takes to succeed: 2 + years of experience related to special events, hospitality industry and communication or equivalent related experience Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, and/or combined equivalent of education and experience Have and maintain a valid driver's license. Able to meet all the requirements to drive SeaWorld vehicles At least 18 years old Competencies: Exceptional organization and communications skills; able to read, write and speak English Exhibits sharp, agile thinking in fast-paced situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook) Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to different audiences clearly and persuasively, especially to senior management, top executives from key accounts, and hospitality industry leadership in group settings and able to adapt communication styles Must be able to function effectively as part of a collaborative team, as well as work independently, to meet deadlines Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment. Strong presentation skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects to completions while seizing emerging opportunities Ability to multi-task, meet stringent deadlines, and work in a fast-paced, team selling environment Positive and enthusiastic demeanor to set example to the park staff on how to champion the organization Availability: Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and Holidays.
