About the role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead Analyst, Pricing Intelligence to join our Pricing team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of competitive intelligence strategies that inform pricing decisions across our national footprint. You will oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of competitive pricing data while partnering cross-functionally to translate insights into actionable pricing recommendations. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who can work with large datasets, communicate complex findings clearly, and manage relationships with multiple external vendors. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Pricing. You will Lead the organization's competitive pricing intelligence function by owning data acquisition, validation, quality assurance, and market coverage strategies that ensure accurate and actionable competitive insights. Plan and manage cross-functional pricing intelligence initiatives by partnering with Pricing, Merchandising, and Technology teams to integrate competitive data into pricing decisions, tools, and business strategies. Oversee the analysis of competitor pricing, assortment, and promotional activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering clear recommendations that strengthen market competitiveness. Advise stakeholders through the development of scalable reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics that monitor competitive price positioning and support informed decision-making across markets and channels. Innovate processes, workflows, and automation solutions by resolving data issues, managing vendor relationships, identifying coverage gaps, and implementing scalable improvements that enhance efficiency and insight generation. You will come with Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field 3-6+ years of experience in analytics, pricing, consulting, competitive intelligence, or a related field Advanced Excel skills, including lookup functions, data manipulation, and modeling Strong SQL experience with the ability to query, transform, and validate large datasets Experience working with large-scale, structured and unstructured data Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Experience managing external vendors or data providers Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences Experience with Python or other programming languages is preferred, but not required Experience with GenAI is preferred, but not required
