Job Title: AI Platform Engineer, Business Applications Location: Bangalore Reports to : Sr. Manager, Business Applications A quick snapshot ... As an AI Platform Engineer, to join our dynamic business applications team and contribute to the development of next-generation AI/GenAI based products and capabilities for the consumption within Conga. This role will provide you with the opportunity to own the AI data foundation, enabling scalable AI use cases through RAG pipelines, vector systems, and enterprise data integration. Why it's a big deal... You will ensure to design, implement RAG pipelines (retrieval, ranking, context injection) and optimize embedding strategies and vector indexing. This role will play a vital role in building real-time batch data and data ingestion pipelines for structured/unstructured sources, develop scalable services using Python, APIs, microservices architecture and integrate with enterprise systems (CRM, KB, data lakes). A strong focus on data governance is required, including enforcing data access policies, masking sensitive information, and ensuring compliance standards. Additionally, the role demands ensuring traceability and auditability of AI outputs, along with deploying and operating services in cloud-native environments with robust logging, monitoring, and AI observability practices. Are you the person we're looking for? Related experience in AI development. Your experience of in between 3 to 5 years in software AI development, practices and design patterns. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Skills and Tools. You have expertise as a AI developer using Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery and other Python frameworks and high-level familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI, and MLOps concepts. You also have hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, concurrency, design patterns, and REST APIs. Your hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases. Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions. Working knowledge of logging, monitoring, and AI observability practices (e.g., tracing LLM calls, retrieval metrics, model performance dashboards). Cloud Service Provider. You have experience of any of the cloud platforms such as AWS, MS Azure and GCP. Success Metrics. Ability to consistently improve retrieval accuracy and overall response quality of AI-driven systems, ensuring relevant, precise, and contextually appropriate outputs. Key performance indicators include the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of AI pipelines in handling growing data volumes and user demands. The role also emphasizes building reusable and modular platform components that accelerate development, reduce redundancy, and promote standardization across solutions.
