We are looking for an experienced Procurement Director to lead Ponsse's global procurement function and play a key role in strengthening our competitiveness in a changing global environment. As Procurement Director , you will be responsible for leading and developing Ponsse's global procurement function, covering both product-related direct procurement and non-product-related procurement. You will ensure that procurement supports Ponsse's business targets, competitiveness, product cost management, quality, delivery performance and long-term strategic development. You will be part of the Operations Leadership Team and report to the Chief Operations Officer. You will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, product management, quality and other key functions to ensure that procurement decisions support customer value, compliance and operational excellence. You will lead the development and execution of Ponsse's procurement strategy and processes, including supplier selection , leading supplier relationship s. Your responsibilities include driving cost competitiveness, supplier performance, risk management, contract management and compliance across procurement. Together with your team, you will ensure that procurement practices support Ponsse's values, industry standards, sustainability targets and responsible business conduct. In this role, you will help strengthen Ponsse's business growth, profitability, resilience and customer success through strong procurement capabilities and supplier partnerships. Required qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business or another relevant field, or equivalent experience. Proven track record in a similar senior procurement leadership role, preferably in an international industrial or manufacturing company. People leadership experience is required . Ability to lead and develop procurement strategies, supplier management models, category management, contract management and procurement processes. Understanding of heavy-duty machinery, industrial manufacturing, supply chains and global supplier markets is beneficial. Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance cost, quality, delivery, risk and sustainability. Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel Fluency in English and Finnish; other languages are an advantage.
