Responsibilities

  • The Business Development Representative prospects new and competition clients and accounts to meet and exceed goals by making cold calls, virtual and in-person sales calls, and converting potential sales leads.

Requirements

  • University degree or diploma
  • 1-2 years' proven sales experience
  • A valid Driver's License and Passport
  • Detail and process focused
  • Possesses a strong work ethic
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and CRM tools
  • Knowledge of Travel Industry
  • Demonstrated Ability to drive new sales
  • Experience within a travel agency, educational institution or related industry/environment
  • Bilingual in French would be an asset

Job Description: The Business Development Representative role has the responsibility of introducing, developing, and representing the WorldStrides travel brands (WorldStrides, Brightspark and Explorica) to schools across Canada. We are looking for individuals passionate about travel to sell and depart experiential tours to Teachers, Parents, and Students in your designated territory. The primary measurement of success for this role will be new client creation and year over year growth in overall bookings. Candidates should be eager to advance within the organization by being a self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm every day. The Business Development Representative works within a regional sales team and reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
