Salary Range: $32,444.00 - $48,665.00 A Sign-on bonus of $2,500 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Understanding of approved behavioral intervention programs, medication administration protocols, and the specific needs of the population served. Ability to clearly document client progress and behaviors, and effectively communicate with families and team members. Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and professional staff while maintaining a professional and even-tempered demeanor. Capable of independently following up on services to ensure client needs are met, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. A Valid Driver's License. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis (6-8 times daily) and be able to stoop, bend, walk, run short distances (50 yards) and climb stairs without limitations of a permanent nature to provide adequate supervision of the assigned population in the home. This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. Work Location: Sunset Village/104 Kendall Work Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, including every other weekend with days off as defined by a 40 hour work schedule. Scheduled working hours may vary. **Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus** To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date) The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
