As our pipeline of work grows, we are seeking a passionate Corrosion Engineer , who is interested in building a career home by joining our collaborative and multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. To be successful in the role, you will have the passion and experience working on Water related projects and pursuing a career in corrosion science. Duties may include: Onsite condition assessment of water industry assets such as pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants, network assets (i.e. pump stations) Electrochemical testing of both soils and water as required Preparation of Durability plans (+review) Failure analysis of events: Investigating why the components fail or degrade and creating solutions to prevent future defects Writing clear and concise reports on all works to communicate findings to clients Can we get them into HW on a secondment early on to understand client needs. Building strong client relationships and demonstrating your ability to understand our client's core business you will be able to provide solutions and service to clients both off and on site. Your ideal skills and expertise: Relevant qualifications: Bachelor's degree in materials, civil engineering or equivalent Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and a broad range of audiences Passion to learn and also coach and mentor junior team members Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires - travel to client sites, mostly across NSW Comfortable working within heights & confined spaces Learning to use ROV and potentially RPAS Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks A commitment to working safely, and within the company's HSEQ systems
