About the role
The Quality Specialist is a hands-on inspector role within our Quality Operations group. Responsibilities
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) and provide detailed feedback on new parts
- Conduct visual inspection of bare and coated parts to verify finish and cosmetic requirements
- Carry out mechanical inspection of parts using precision measurement tools
- Analyze and verify CMM reports for accuracy and conformance
- Write, disposition, and verify nonconformance reports (NCRs)
- Triage and escalate out-of-tolerance conditions in production
- Generate customer shipment documentation to ensure compliance with requirements
- Partner with programmers, engineers, and technicians to drive stable, in-tolerance production
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical or quality inspection
- Demonstrated ability to perform inspections with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Familiarity with CMM inspection results
- High level of experience with reading and interpreting GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly
