Embedded SW Engineer II (Airbags)

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis, functional specification, implementation, and testing of software functions
• Integration of different software components
• Software development for CAN communication and vehicle diagnostic services.
• Technical contact for the customer as well as the global software development team.
• Testing of software functions in hardware and software simulation environments to ensure conformance with customer requirements.
• Debugging and troubleshooting software
• Process documentations of software outputs
• Candidate must be proficient in English level, since will be part of a global team. Meetings, mailing and communication uses English.
• We are looking for:
• Hands on experience programming in 'C' for real time embedded systems.
• Experience on Software integration using Change and Requirement management tools (CSCRM, ALM, Synergy, etc.)
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Ability to solve technical problems independently with minimum customer interaction.
• Passion for automotive engineering.
• Team player with good problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Professionally represent Bosch at the customer.
• Experience with CAN or other communication protocols.
• 1+ year working experience in embedded systems.

Requirements

• Experience using testing and application tools like Canalyzer, Canoe, INCA, etc.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with automotive coding rules.
• Experience with source control management tools (i.e. Subversion, GIT, MKS).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as python, perl, etc.
• Familiarity with HIL test environments and SIL/HIL testing methods.
• Experience with diagnostic communication protocols such as UDS, J1939 or GMLAN.
• Independent and responsible working style with a strong focus on details, as well as, experience in collaborating with international and cross divisional teams.
