Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive support to the Office of Career Services (OCS).
  • Manages incoming communications to OCS and distributes or provides information and resources as required.
  • Ensures that job postings, event announcements, and other employment opportunities or information are accurately provided to students and alumni in a timely fashion.
  • Manages logistics and provides event support for programs, including organizing the OCS program calendar, coordinating and promoting events, and serving as the OCS liaison to other departments with respect to events.
  • Supports interview programs, job fairs, conferences, other OCS programming, and occasional student organization programming.
  • Participates in the tracking and surveying of students, including regular data processing, to assist the OCS team in providing comprehensive services to students and alumni and in fulfilling internal and external reporting obligations.
  • Creates and disseminates communications, job search materials, and publications as required by OCS, including direct communications and website content, among other communication methods.
  • Advises students and alumni concerning services, resources, systems, employment opportunities, and careers.
  • Maintains and organizes supplies, materials, subscriptions, and equipment needed by OCS.
  • Processes and tracks expenses for the OCS team, programs, and initiatives.
  • Provides support for budget management.
  • Assists with the training and support of temporary workers and student interns.
  • Assists with and supports communications, programming, and tracking for students and alumni pursuing careers in law teaching.
  • Provides logistical support for the Law School's annual Diploma and Hooding Ceremony.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external constituents, including students, alumni, employers, faculty, vendors, administrators, and other law school constituents.
  • Represents the Office of Career Services to internal and external audiences.
  • Interacts with faculty, researchers, and staff for committee work or information.
  • Uses general understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

  • Minimum experience of one year of administrative work in a law school, higher education, or the legal profession strongly preferred.

  • Working Conditions
  • This position is available for partially remote work based on business needs of the Law School.
  • Ability to work occasional evening, weekend, and early morning hours required.
