Manager, Accounting [Fixed Term]

Join one of the leading global technology companies and lead a high-performing Accounting Operations team, based in our brand-new Auckland CBD office. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and with significant exposure to senior leadership, you will lead a small team of experienced accounting professionals to deliver key financial outcomes for a scaled, fast-paced multinational company. This is a rare leadership position within Pushpay, responsible for driving an efficient, best-in-class operating environment across our Accounting function, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, strategic accounting projects.. You will collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders across New Zealand and the United States. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the Group's day to day accounting functions and ongoing growth strategy. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly influential position encompassing operational accounting, and strategic finance initiatives. Supervisory responsibilities : 2-3 direct reports About You We are seeking 'Big Four'-trained professionals with strong people leadership experience in Global Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial operations experience from a large and complex commercial environment, alongside a proven track record of delivering efficiency, best practices and world class financial control. Pushpay is a high-growth Kiwi founded SaaS business that is spread between offices in the United States and Auckland, NZ. We help organisations and communities come together and stay connected through our suite of mobile apps, management software, and giving technology. Our teams of Software Engineers, SRE's, QA's, UX and Product Managers work closely together to deliver value to our customers as the leading provider of mobile apps and giving technology to churches, schools, and nonprofits.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day / week to week operational accounting processes focused on Accounts Payable, Credit Cards, Staff expense reimbursements, operating accounting, Leveraging technology and continuous process improvement to drive accurate and efficient functions, with a high attention to detail.
• Take ownership of reviewing of Revenue, Leases, Commission and Inventory accounting treatment in accordance with IFRSs.
• Responsible for payroll ,staff benefits journals and balance sheet reconciliations review.
• Ensure our key operational accounting functions perform in high quality control environments with effective management accounting and reporting systems.
• Partnering, and supporting the financial implications of management decisions.

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualified, with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in large, complex businesses with global exposure.
• Strong accounting capability, proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience.
• Autonomous, driven, and self-directed, with a track record of delivering multiple workstreams to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and sound judgement in solving complex issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple teams and partner at a senior level.
• US accounting experience is highly desirable.
• Technology savvy, with experience in NetSuite and Ramp considered a strong advantage.
