J1 Food & Beverage Internship - Montage International

About the role

The food & Beverage Internship position will provide you with the opportunity to learn and participate in hands-on work experience in our food and beverage departments. This position will require you to interact one on one with the guests while following company service standards, and ensure guest satisfaction. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Consistently follow the Food & Beverage sequence of service Guide guests through all phases of their experience at the venue while commanding full menu knowledge and preparation methods Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, bartenders and service staff You are open to learning, developing, and growing both yourself, personally, and helping others do the same Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments Clean up of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintain equipment in good working order Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a college or university program
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Basic computer skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds on a semi-regular basis
