Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle: sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing performance reviews
  • Maintain a centralized vendor register and track contract renewal dates, SLAs, and spend obligations
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to review and negotiate commercial terms, including NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs
  • Analyse company-wide spend data to identify consolidation and optimization opportunities, pricing anomalies, and savings potential
  • Lead contract negotiation for significant purchases across software, infrastructure, services, and facilities
  • Along with the Engineering team, monitor the computing spend and evaluate optimization options to improve gross margin
  • Design and implement scalable procurement processes, including purchase requisition workflows and approval matrices
  • Evaluate and put into place procurement tooling to automate and streamline purchasing
  • Support the finance team with accruals, budget vs. actuals analysis, and vendor invoice reconciliation
  • Document procurement policies and maintain an up-to-date procurement handbook

  • Your DNA
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, ideally at a SaaS or technology company
  • Proven track record of negotiating software and services contracts, with demonstrated cost savings outcomes
  • Experience standing up or significantly improving a procurement function in a scaling environment
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable working in spreadsheets and interpreting spend data
  • High degree of ownership, self-direction, and comfort with ambiguity
  • Finance and accounting knowledge and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; able to influence without authority across teams
  • Bonus: knowledge of software licensing models, cloud infrastructure pricing, and professional services agreements

As our first dedicated procurement hire, you'll work across finance, legal, engineering, and operations to build a world-class vendor management, procurement cycle and cost-control practice from the ground up. Your Team At Nabla, cross-functional collaboration is how we get things done. You'll report directly to the CFO and act as the primary procurement partner to every team in the company - Engineering, Product, Marketing, HR, and Operations. You'll work closely with Legal on commercial contracts and with Finance on spend analysis and budget management. You'll have a high level of ownership from day one, with the freedom to shape the function in a way that scales with us.
