The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time). Pay Range: $86,964.80 - $113,672.00 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Leads, facilitates and supports performance improvement (PI) and patient safety initiatives and activities for assigned area to promote clinical excellence and patient safety. Performs analysis and trending of data through review of reported events, case screening, and data abstraction. Prepares and designs meaningful reports that include statistical analysis, interpretation, monitoring and benchmarking of clinical data. Understands data definition, abstraction and benchmarking requirements to facilitate meaningful data collection, interpretation and presentation. Design and maintain database system for compilation and reporting of program metrics with incorporation of benchmarks and comparative data. Develops meaningful dashboards and reports for departments, divisions, committees and staff. Utilizes PI methodology and PI tools such as flow mapping, fish bones, root cause analyses to facilitate and drive process improvement. Develops and monitors action plans. Investigates quality of care concerns form providers, payers and patients/ families. Participates in other initiatives and programs and performs other duties as assigned by Director of department. Attends in-service training sessions and seminars to maintain and improve knowledge of performance improvement techniques. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred. Related certification and New Jersey license Registered Nurse license preferred. Experience: Three years of related healthcare experience required. Five years experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience with data analysis and management of clinical databases preferred. Other Credentials: Knowledge and Skills: Possesses knowledge of PI tool, analytics and data management. Excellent coaching, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Computer and analytical skills. Special Training : Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Conflict resolution, Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
