The person hired for the position of Trade Operations Import Analyst will support Solventum trade operations by managing the various external partners (3PLs) that make entries on behalf of Solventum and associated legal entities. This will include: Maintaining Solventum's Customs Broker SOPs Work on import-related topics as part of a cross-function team including legal counsel (internal and external), Global Trade Compliance, and other impacted business partners Work with Global Trade Compliance to research Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements with Solventum business partners and determine processes to share relevant data with brokers Including FIFRA, USDA, FDA, APHIS/Lacey Act Identify missing Harmonized Tariff codes for goods and products managed by Solventum and work closely with Global Trade partners to remedy Research and coordinate with Global Trade Compliance on PSC/Protests/Voluntary tenders/disclosures to determine whether they are warranted and coordinate their execution. The Import analyst will report to the Trade Operations Manager for US and Canada. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start date) AND five (5) years of Import Trade Compliance experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND nine (9) years of Import Trade Compliance experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master's degree (completed and verified prior to start) Licensed U.S. Customs Broker Experience using Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Experience supporting U.S. import activities at a U.S. Customs Broker or as an Import Specialist with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Experience using SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Three (3) or more years of experience developing control plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), or training materials Experience using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools to support trade compliance activities Experience preparing written communications and presenting information to stakeholders Experience resolving complex trade compliance or import-related issues impacting multiple stakeholders or workstreams Experience applying Green Belt-level Six Sigma tools to support process improvement initiatives Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan, MN) Travel: May include up to 10% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
