Supervisory Aviation Technical Systems Specialist

About the role

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Manager of the ADO and serves as the principle adviser on technical operations within the ADO, including Federally funded airports and Part 139 certified airports throughout the Northwest Mountain Region. To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS: Direct technical experience performing activities related to civil airport compliance, engineering. planning; and environmental review of civil airport infrastructure development and/or civil airport capital financial processes Experience conducting collaborative analyses of technical information for projects that cross multiple technical and operational disciplines or Lines of Businesses/Staff Offices (LOBs/SOs); Experience providing technical guidance related to airport layout, design and construction. Experience in leadership and providing direction to others and/or establishing goals. Answer all questions to the best of your ability.
