Position Summary Act as an educator/Resource Person for staff, physicians, and families throughout pregnancy, delivery, and post-partum period. Provide hypertension management strategies and ensure appropriate education and understanding of the risks of high blood pressure during pregnancy, delivery and post-partum period. This will include understandings symptoms, what interventions are appropriate, and collaborating with medical team of physicians and RNs to ensure appropriate follow-up. This will include navigating patients to appropriate post-discharge follow-up. To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, family members, and the community by coordinating and providing educational activities in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Respond effectively to new and changing working environments. This RN will also ensure appropriate education is provided to the physicians and staff within the Family Care Pavilion for early recognition and intervention for patients with or at risk for hypertension or preeclampsia. Education BSN degree, registered Nurse with clinically relevant experience in labor and delivery or post-partum. ANCC approved Certification preferred. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
